Meghan Markle's Redesigned her Engagement Ring

When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made their media debut after they announced their engagement in November 2017, everyone admired her understated three-stone ring, which was designed by the prince himself. Recently, however, royal fans just noticed that the duchess made some surprising, yet beautiful changes to her ring.

The new design swapped her original solid yellow gold band for a thin micro-pavé band.

The diamonds on Markle's original engagement ring had a very special meaning. During the couple's first joint interview in 2017, Prince Harry shared details about the thoughtful design. "It's yellow gold, because that's her favorite. The main stone itself is sourced from Botswana, and two small diamonds on either side are from my mother's jewelry collection, to make sure that she's with us on this crazy journey together," he said.

She also debuted simple diamond pave band on her left ring finger, in addition to her wedding band. Eternity bands are common ways to mark an important milestone in a woman's life. Her eternity band could celebrate her new chapter as a mother while her redesigned engagement ring could have been a one-year anniversary present.
